Welcome to AMERICA DEATHWATCH. This website will be devoted primarily to exposing many of the idiotic, stupid things we Americans are doing to hasten our own downfall. All Empires and Civilizations eventually have to fall, but no where (or no when) in the History of the World has any people done so much to hasten their own downfall as have the people, media, and governmental institutions of the U.S.A. (and its European allies) with the possible exception of the Neo-Babylonian Empire of 626-539 B.C. Please refer to our sister site www.lastkingofbabylon.com in that regard.
While this site will focus on current events, the format will be similar to the sister site www.biblebabel.net in that both sites constitute a war on stupidity.
Along the way, we will also occasionally add comments on world affairs, particularly the Middle East (one of my areas of expertise), since shifts in international balances of power can have an effect on America’s position on the international pecking order, and on our ability to maintain preeminence and influence in the world.
This is a non-partisan, fully independent, self-supported website. Condemnation and ridicule will be hurled at both Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives, and both foreign and home-grown “idiots.” That being said, it may seem that U.S. Democrats and Liberals are the ones being picked on the most, but that is because they are the ones who are currently in power (as of this writing), and have been in power since January of 2007, and are therefore currently doing the most damage to hasten the downfall of the U.S.
And, frankly, they are the most idiotic and stupid according to my stupidity meter. To see how my stupidity meter works please click on the essay “Why I am no longer a Democrat” in the menu to your left.
However, the stupidity of Liberals and Democrats will not spare Republicans and Conservatives from ridicule and condemnation when appropriate. That being said, please note that my sister site www.biblebabel.net deconstructs much of the world view held by the Evangelical Right. Therefore, I reserve the right to devote more space on this site to the deconstruction of much of the world view held by Liberals and Progressives—just to be fair.
WHY THIS SITE IS NEEDED
A site like this is needed because the media has radicalized most of the U.S. population into two camps: Extreme Left and Extreme Right. The so-called mainstream media (MSM), from your local newspaper, to NPR, PBS, the AP, the New York Times, and the major TV networks (except Fox, and to some lesser extent CNN) are for the most part staffed by hard-core liberals—many thoroughly soaked in Marxist ideology. The bias in their reporting (not to mention editorials) is so extreme that no intelligent person can take them seriously any more.
This bias by the MSM has opened the door for “alternative” media, usually meaning right-wing radio talk shows, but also includes certain news magazines such as Newsmax and Townhall, and a plethora of websites. This type of media, though it serves a purpose by reporting on items that the MSM won’t because it doesn’t fit into their “editorial concepts,” is also biased. They will emphasize points that support their viewpoint, while ignoring (or condemning) anything that would appear to derail their viewpoint. Therefore, one of the purposes of this site will be to shift through all of the B.S. coming from both the right and the left and give the public an independent view not beholden to one camp or the other.

Note that some of these posted essays will be short and sweet, or a paragraph or two, while some will be huge, of twenty or more typed pages. ALL of these essays have been well researched, though some will be documented better than others--after all, this is a pseudo blog.
